On April
4th, 1994, Radio Young Trang went LIVE on the radio waves with its
first one hour radio show in Houston, TX. The response
was incredible. There was a need for a Pakistani-oriented
radio show in the city for a long time. Young Trang
Radio became the first Pakistani commercial radio
show in North America. With the increase in audience, more time was added to the duration of programming.
Within a year, we were on LIVE air for up to 4 hours. In

by our sponsors, the listener response was encouraging enough to become LIVE every weekend-Saturday and Sunday up to 8-10 hours per day. Today, Radio has paved the way for new radio programmers to share the radio waves. Starting 2011, Radio YoungTrang started their show in Sundays only from 1-5PM.
In January of 1997, Young Trang Radio became the
first Pakistani radio show to get on the INTERNET.
First it was text only and then moved to audio. Now it streams its broadcast every Sunday LIVE 1-5 PM Central USA Time. Archives can also be found to listen
through www.youngtrang.com.
Today, Young Trang Radio airs its programming 4
hours every Sunday on KCHN 1050 AM in Houston, TX.
